MEETINGS

Iowa City — Connections, a Catholic youth group, will meet Saturday, Feb. 7, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at St. Mary Church. Dr. Christine Whelan will discuss sex, dating and Catholicism. Dinner will be served. RSVP to David Sharp at sharp.david@mchsi.com.

Moline, Ill. — An activity planning meeting for Quad Cities Catholic Singles, formerly Catholic Singles of the Quad Cities, will take place Jan. 31 at 10:30 a.m. at Panera Bread. RETREATS

Davenport — A weekend retreat for all married couples in the Davenport Diocese will take place Feb. 13-15 at Our Lady of Victory Parish. SOCIALS

Camanche — A fundraising breakfast will take place Sunday, Feb. 1, from 7:30 a.m. to noon in Church of the Visitation’s hall. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children ages 6-12 and free for those 5 and younger. Menu includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, coffee, milk and juice. Proceeds will go toward the building fund.

Clinton — Prince of Peace Boy Scouts Troop 1 will hold a pancake breakfast Feb. 8 from 8 a.m. to noon in St. Boniface Hall. Pancakes, eggs, sausage, applesauce, coffee, juice and milk will be served. Proceeds will go toward sending the troop to Yellowstone National Park.

Davenport — “An Evening with the Stars,” St. Paul the Apostle School’s 12th annual winter auction and social, will take place Feb. 7 in Denning Hall. A silent auction will take place at 6:30 p.m., and live auction will take place at 8 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served. Cost is $25 per person and $30 at the door. RSVP to the school, (563) 322-2923  by Jan. 30. Proceeds benefit the school.

Davenport — A Theology on Tap event for young adults will take place at 7 p.m. Feb. 12 at Phil & Larry’s Saloon. Maggie Schoonmaker will present “Sacred Sex and the City.” For more information, call Susan Cleveland at (563) 650-3283.

Davenport — A fundraising dinner will take place at Our Lady of Victory Parish Center from 4-7 p.m. Feb. 7. Chili, crackers, baked goods and beverages will be served. Freewill donations will go toward sending youths and adults to the National Catholic Youth Conference in November.

Davenport — A taco dinner will be served at the All Saints Catholic School café from 5-8 p.m. Feb. 7. Menu includes all-you-can-eat tacos, dessert and beverage. Scenes from the upcoming school musical, “Oklahoma Jr.,” will be performed at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tickets will be for sale at the door. Cost is $10 for those ages 10 and older and free for those 9 and younger. Proceeds will go toward production costs.

Davenport — A Boy Scout pancake breakfast will take place Sunday, Feb. 1, from 7:30 a.m. to noon at Denning Hall, St. Paul the Apostle Church.

Fort Madison — The Knights of Columbus will serve breakfast in Roling Hall after 8 a.m. Mass Feb. 1 to help fund seminarians in their quest for priesthood. Pancakes, ham, eggs, fruit and drinks will be served for freewill offerings.

Grand Mound — A pancake breakfast will take place in Ss. Philip and James’ parish hall from 8-11 a.m. Feb. 1.

Iowa City — Regina Boy Scout Troop No. 218 will hold its annual chili dinner Feb. 8 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Wenceslaus Church. Menu includes traditional, vegetarian, white or spicy chili, dessert and beverage. Carryouts are available. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger.

Mechanicsville — St. Mary Parish’s annual soup supper will take place from 4-6:30 p.m. Feb. 8 in the parish hall. Cost is $6 for adults, $4 for children ages 5-12 and free for children 4 and younger.
