CORALVILLE — A seven-session class will introduce the practices of Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina (praying the Scriptures). The class will meets Mondays from Feb. 23 to April 6 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at New Life Community Church, 106 Second Ave. The text will be “Forty Days to a Closer Walk with God.” Class format includes teaching and prayer, discussion and faith sharing. Between classes, participants will engage in daily readings, prayer and journal writing.
