BLUE GRASS — Tatiana, a Christian singer, will perform “I Thirst — the Crucifixion Story” at St. Andrew Parish in Blue Grass on March 6. The concert begins at 7 p.m.

Tatiana (formerly known as Tajci), who will present the Way of the Cross through music, “draws the audience on an emotional journey,” states her Web site.

The program is performed by Tatiana during the Lenten season.

She is no stranger to the Diocese of Davenport — or even Blue Grass, having performed in the diocese several times over the years.

“We were lucky enough to host her performance a few years ago, because of a last minute change of venue. We really didn’t know what to expect, and probably didn’t have a full house because of light publicity,” said Ray Harre. A member of St. Andrew Parish, he is coordinating Tatiana’s visit.

“Many of those who were in attendance, like myself, were moved to tears by her talent and message,” he said.

Harre said he has tried to get Tatiana to come for an Advent performance, but has been unsuccessful. He was delighted to find she had a date during Lent.

“I firmly believe the Holy Spirit works through her music bringing Christ’s suffering and death into the listener’s heart in a way that listening to the Gospel and reading of the Passion sometimes struggles to achieve in this busy world of ours.”

Harre encourages everyone to attend whether they belong to St. Andrew’s or not.

Born in Croatia, she was raised in a musical family. She studied music at the Croatian Music Conservatory and performed on stage in musicals, theaters and television productions.
