I am a graduate student at the University of Iowa and lead a graduate/professional student faith sharing group at the Newman Catholic Student Center in Iowa City.

This faith-sharing group outreaches to graduate/professional students, along with young professionals in the Iowa City community.

The desire to create such a group came out of seeing a need for this ministry in Iowa City and to bring together young Catholics from a similar walk in life. Taking on such a leadership role in this ministry has brought with it many challenges, which have given me opportunities to grow in my own faith.

Although there have been challenges with this group, there have been a vast number of blessings in learning from other people’s faith journeys. I hope this group will thrive in the future and will continue on at the University of Iowa Newman Center!
