The 2009 St. Ambrose Stewardship Institute, designed to train and develop leaders for parish stewardship ministry, will kick off April 7 from 10 a.m. to noon in Gannon Hall at St. Mathias Church in Muscatine.

An eight-week session focusing on the spirituality and theology of stewardship will follow from April 13 to June 5. A second, eight-week session will take place from Aug. 10 to Oct. 2.

Institute participants will read and write occasional reflections about stewardship-related statements, articles and books; reflect weekly on Scripture; regularly meet in person with a coach; meet three times with other participants and coaches; assess stewardship ministry in their parish and present the findings to their pastor; and get involved in parish stewardship ministry.

Dan Ebener, diocesan stewardship director, will facilitate.
