The auxiliary gym is being painted.

In recent years Assumption has completed several significant remodeling projects aimed at keeping its Golden Jubilee facility updated. Next on the agenda is remodeling the auxiliary gym, built in the mid-1970s. The gym ceiling has already been painted and the exterior doors have been replaced. In the coming weeks AHS will replace the acoustical metal siding on the upper half of the gym walls.

As the project continues, ceiling fixtures will be replaced (with reclaimed fixtures from a public school); the lower half of the gym walls will be freshly painted and the gym floor will be replaced with a poured flooring. The locker room that adjoins the auxiliary gym will be updated and used by the school’s award-winning dance and cheer squads.

Other recent renovation projects at Assumption include the chapel, library, band and chorus rooms, Carroll Media Lab, cafeteria, boys’ locker room and the auditorium stage.
