Cancer Survivors Day in Iowa City

IOWA CITY — Cancer survivors and their families and friends are invited to celebrate life at Cancer Survivors Day on Saturday, April 18. The event will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the first floor atrium of Mercy Iowa City, 500 East Market St. The atrium is located in the hospital at the corner of North Johnson and Market streets.

The Cancer Survivors Day celebration is a free event sponsored by Mercy Iowa City, Iowa City Cancer Treatment Center, and Cancer Care of Iowa City, LLC. The celebration will include an inspirational presentation by Karen McCaa on “Keeping Hope in Your Heart.” The event will also feature music by Marie Von Behren and Tim Meier, refreshments, and social time.
