Assumption’s wrestling team poses with Coach Pete Bush, second from right in back.

The AHS wrestling team ended a phenomenal season with a 26-2 dual record (being defeated only by two eventual state championship teams). The Knights finished fourth in individual state competition in Des Moines and third in state team duals in Cedar Rapids.

Coach Pete Bush was recognized as MAC (Midwest Athletic Conference) Wrestling Coach of the Year, and on April 13 he was inducted into the Iowa Wrestling Hall of Fame Foundation in Cresco. Bush was recognized not only for his success on the mat but also for giving back to the sport of wrestling.

The Lady Knights basketball team finished the season as undefeated MAC champions, and Coach Todd Borrison was recognized as MAC Girls Basketball Coach of the Year.

Now it’s on to track, tennis, soccer and girls’ golf.
