“Knit One, Pray Too,” a day of knitting, fellowship and prayer, will take place at Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat near Wheatland on Tuesday, June 9, from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Participants should bring size 11 or 13 knitting needles, three six-ounce skeins of yarn (or a project in progress), and join others while creating a prayer shawl, scarf or gift.  Participants will pray, share “yarns” of their individual journeys and enjoy the beauty of nature. All knitters, including beginners, are welcome.

Presenters will be Ann Green, a lay minister at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral in Davenport and a private piano instructor; Anne Johnson, a fiber artist and Karen Brooke, a lay minister at Trinity Episcopal Cathedral and development director for the Sisters of Humility.

Cost is $15, which includes lunch.
