Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Dorothy M. Boeding, 82, a resident of Princeton, Iowa will be 10 a.m. Saturday, July 25 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, Long Grove.

Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 4- 7 p.m., where a prayer service will be held at 7 p.m.  Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be made to the St. Ann’s Scholarship Fund. Mrs. Boeding died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at the Genesis Medical Center, West Campus, after a brief illness.

Dorothy M. Dryoel was born April 12, 1927 in Rock Island the daughter of Edmond and Martha (Dhondt) Dryoel.  She was united in marriage to J. Charles Boeding on Sept. 5, 1953 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Rock Island. He preceded her in death, Feb. 15, 2007.

Mrs. Boeding was a member of St. Ann’s Church. Dorothy had helped her husband on the family farm until his retiring in 1995. She enjoyed gardening, sewing and her computer but her greatest joy in life came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Dave and his spouse, Marcia Boeding of Princeton; her four grandchildren, Benjamin and Jamie Boeding, LeClaire, Brian Boeding, St. Louis, Mo., Sara Boeding, Durham, N.C., and Daniel Boeding, Cedar Falls; a brother, Robert (Jean) Dryoel, Orion, Ill. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Charlie.
