WHEATLAND — A retreat, “Sabbath in the Midst of Ministry,” will take place Friday, July 31, from 9:30 a.m.–3 p.m. at Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat near Wheatland. Presenter is IlaMae Hanisch. Fee is $15, which includes lunch.
Finding creative joy in life can be a challenge when people minister to others. Participants will explore ways to create Sabbath time in their own lives as they lead others. Target audience is anyone who ministers to others.
Hanisch worked in Catholic parish ministry for 18 years and has been with the Diocese of Davenport for the past 11 years. She is coordinator for lay ministry formation and adult/family formation. She has led numerous retreats, workshops and seminars.
