Educational sessions about the late Catholic media pioneer, Archbishop Fulton Sheen, will be offered during a January cruise in the eastern Caribbean.

The seven-day cruise, departing Jan. 9 from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., features a focus on Archbishop Sheen. A candidate for sainthood from the Diocese of Peoria, Ill., he was host of popular radio and television programs in the mid-20th century including “Life is Worth Living.”

During the cruise, daily Mass will be celebrated by Msgr. Stanley Deptula, executive director of the Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen Foundation. Msgr. Deptula also will lead optional “Diving Deeper into Sheen” educational sessions on the archbishop, including the viewing of a newly produced video biography and updates on his sainthood cause.

The cruise is sponsored by The Catholic Post, the Peoria Diocese’s newspaper.
