Doctor to reflect on lessons of 20th century

IOWA CITY — The Journeys in Faith Speaker’s Forum at The University of Iowa will welcome Nicholas Rossi, MD, as its fall 2009 featured speaker. Rossi will address the topic “Twentieth Century Experiences: Lessons for Today.”

From his tenure at The University of Iowa and his current position as Emeritus Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Rossi will highlight his experience from the United States depression to World War II, reflecting on how lessons from the past can help us understand today’s issues.

Rossi will speak on Thursday, Oct. 22 at 7:30 p.m. at the Newman Catholic Student Center, 104 E Jefferson St. His talk is free and open to all. The forum is sponsored by the Newman Catholic Student Center at The University of Iowa.
