Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Bonita M. “Nita” Piatt, 73, a resident of Davenport, were Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2009 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Davenport. Burial was in Davenport Memorial Park. Visitation was Dec. 15 at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport.

Nita passed away on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009 at her residence in Davenport.

 Bonita Marguerite Piatt was born June 3, 1936 in Keysville, Wisconsin, a daughter of John and Kathryn (Wilcox) Gardner. Bonita was employed at AT&T for 24 years.  

She was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church. In her free time she loved to visit her family and friends and walk her little dog CoCo. Her home was always open to her many family and friends.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Multiple Sclerosis or the Alzheimer’s Association.

Survivors include her sons & daughters, Cindy (Bill) Whitlock, Adkins, Texas, Wayne (Nadia) Piatt, Saltillo, Miss., Janice (Alan) Hantsbarger, Van Nuys, Calif., Craig Piatt, Davenport, and Toni (Robert) Arnold, Davenport; her grandchildren Jason (Karin) Slyter, Amy Slyter, Travis Hantsbarger, Carie Hantsbarger, Scott Arnold, Laura Arnold, Jenifer Dietz, Kathryn Piatt, and great-grandchildren MacKenzie, Sophia and Jamison. A niece and nephew Teresa (Ed) Reed, Davenport, Richard (Allison) Fritz, Prairie Grove, Ark. and numerous other loving family XOXO.
