Elizabeth Ann Wilson, 50, a resident of Bettendorf, died Thursday, Dec. 17, 2009 at her home in Bettendorf after an extended illness.

Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m., Monday, Dec. 21, 2009 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, Bettendorf. Honoring her wish, cremation rites will be accorded after services. Inurnment will take place privately in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Her family will greet friends prior to the mass from 10-11 a.m. at the church. The Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Elizabeth Ann Lantzky was born Sept. 14, 1959 in Ft. Irwin, California, the daughter of Col. Karl A. Lantzky, Jr. and Mary Virginia “Gina” (Farley) Lantzky. She attended Bettendorf High School.  She was united in marriage to Robert Wilson.

Liz was a caregiver and her greatest joy in life came from caring for her mother and spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.

In addition to her mother and former spouse Bob, she is survived by her daughter Ellen Wilson, Moline, Ill.; sisters Christine Finney, Bettendorf, Ellen (Shawn) Larson; brothers, Karl III (Katherine) Lantzky and James (Sharon) Lantzky, all of Davenport. Nine loving nieces and nephews as well as numerous other extended family. Liz was preceded in death by her father.
