Funeral Services and Mass of Christian Burial for Milo J. Pollmiller, 58, a resident of Davenport will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 14, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, 2618 Boies Ave. 

Private burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date. Visitation was Wednesday at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. In keeping with Milo’s wish cremation rites will be accorded following the funeral mass.

Milo died Saturday Jan. 9, at his home following a brief illness.

Milo was born June 11, 1951, in Fort Madison, the son of Clarence and Dorothy (Bentler) Pollmiller. He graduated from Assumption High School in 1969.

Milo was united in marriage to Janice M. Lane, May 28, 1972, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, Davenport. She preceded him in death July 8, 2005.

He was employed as a contractor for CDB Utility Contractors of Davenport.

Milo and his wife Jan loved to socialize and always enjoyed a good gathering of people or party.  He enjoyed attending the sporting events of his grandchildren, his Harley and 1936 Ford Coupe.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Survivors include his son and daughter in law, Andrew “Andy” and Jaymie Pollmiller, Davenport; grandchildren, Sydney, Morgan and Alex Pollmiller; brothers, Mark (Lynda) Pollmiller, Colorado Springs, Co. Brian Pollmiller and Brent Pollmiller both of Davenport      

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Michael.
