Sharon Kay Dose was born Oct. 2, 1950 in Davenport, the daughter of Donald A. and Lucille C. (Wilson) Dose. She graduated from Davenport Central High School in 1969 and completed food certification courses at Scott Community College.

Sharon was a very loving, selfless person who loved being with her family. She enjoyed going with her husband, children, and grandchildren to Beardmore Mountain in Northeast Iowa to help build their cabin. She enjoyed riding her ATV fearlessly over steep bluffs and through mud puddles. She liked to play cards, especially canasta, with her husband Jeri. Sharon had an amazing gift of hospitality and made everyone who came to her home feel welcomed. She was a wonderful cook and was famous for her Thanksgiving feasts. Sharon was very proud of her family and loved to spoil them.
