A former educator and parish minister, Sister Roberta Klesener (Jane Ann), SSSF,  died Dec. 26 at Ruth Hospice in Milwaukee.

A native of St. Paul, Iowa, she entered the School Sisters of St. Francis on June 13, 1960, professed her first vows on June 20, 1962, and professed her final vows June 20, 1967.

Throughout her religious life, Sr. Klesener served as a musician, liturgy director, pastoral minister, parish administrator and artist.

In the Diocese of Davenport she served as a musician at St. James School in St. Paul from 1973-80; pastoral minister at St. Anthony Parish in Knoxville from 1990-93 and as a parish administrator at St. Anthony Parish in Knoxville and Sacred Heart Parish in Melcher.

Her funeral was held Dec. 30 at St. Joseph Convent in Milwaukee with burial at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Milwaukee.
