David C. Schricker, 61, a resident of Davenport, died Sunday, March 21, 2010, at his home. A private funeral service will be held with burial in Davenport Memorial Park. Per his wishes, cremation will be accorded. Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family.
David Christian Schricker was born Sept. 14, 1948, in Davenport, a son of Harold and Dorothy (Lohr) Schricker. Dave graduated from Assumption High School class of 1966. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy for four years including a tour in Vietnam. He received his BS in Business Administration from St. Ambrose University. He had been employed for many years in sales and management with local companies.
Dave enjoyed the outdoors spending time gardening and was especially fond of boating on the Mississippi River. He was an avid wildlife enthusiast and hunter. David was a Chicago Bears fan.
He is survived by his mother Dorothy; brother Steve (Lisa) Schricker, Davenport; sisters Mary (Bob) Davis, West Des Moines, Lisa (Jim) Kuntz, Walnutport, Penn. Other survivors include nieces and nephews Mia (Brian) Eddy, Moline, Ill., Abby Bourff, Jason Flora, Ashley Flora all of West Des Moines, Adam Schricker, Louisville, Ky., Rob Bourff, Bettendorf, Victoria, Elizabeth and Jacqueline Kuntz, Virginia Beach, Va.
