Bishop Hayes’ kindergarten to fifth-grade students are participating in their fifth year of the Quad City River Bandits four week reading program, “Book Buddies.” All students strive to reach a reading goal and will earn a special prize each week.

At the end of the program, the students will receive a free ticket to the QC River Bandits baseball game and a free lunch box. They will also participate in a parade around the baseball field before the game for reaching their specific goal. On Feb. 23, Rascal, the River Bandits’ mascot, came to the school for an assembly to promote the reading program. The students had a great time seeing Rascal!
