Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Robert W. Scheppler, 57, a resident of Madison, Ala., formerly of Davenport, will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 4097 18th St., Bettendorf. Burial will be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation will be Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Scheppler died March 9, 2010 at his home.
Robert William Scheppler was born March 31, 1952, in St. Louis, the son of Robert H. and Jayne (Linhardt) Scheppler. He had worked as a pilot for many years.
He was united in marriage to Heather Joy Williams on December 3, 1981.
Memorials are suggested to either St. John Vianney Catholic Church or the American Stroke Foundation.
Survivors to honor his memory include his wife, Heather and their son, Robert L. Scheppler, Madison; his sister and brother-in-law, Elizabeth and Ralph Glaser, Chesterfield, Mo., niece, Melissa Reidelberger, sisters-in-law Diane Macdonalle and Star Conley, and brothers-in-law Robert Williams and Blair Williams and their families.
His parents and a sister, Judith Ann Scheppler, preceded him in death. May they rest in peace.
