Future Club is supportive

St. Paul’s Future Club was formed 26 years ago in an effort to provide school teachers and staff with retirement and health care benefits.

The club has three main fundraising efforts — including a Couples’ Golf Outing and a Men’s Stag that raises funds for the third and main fundraiser — a Teacher Appreciation Dinner. The dinner is held each May as the school’s main fundraiser. The goal each year is to raise $25,000, which is used to make a matching donation to the teachers’ retirement fund and help offset their health care costs.

Future Club also helps support a $1,000 college scholarship to a graduating senior at Assumption High School in Davenport who attended St. Paul’s.

Besides raising funds for teachers and staff, the goal of Future Club is to create events where parishioners of St. Paul the Apostle can enjoy fellowship.
