Pre-kindergarten students pose in Fort Madison.

During the 2009-2010 school year the Holy Trinity Catholic Early Childhood Center in Fort Madison housed kindergarten, pre-kindergarten, preschool, daycare and school-age care.

Starting in the fall of 2010 the kindergarten will be located in West Point at Holy Trinity Catholic Elementary School. Now both kindergarten classes will be located at the elementary school, which will give all students the opportunity to be a part of the elementary school community. The kindergarten teachers will be able to collaborate on lessons and combine their classes to do projects together.

With the kindergarten moving to West Point, the school age program will be able to move out of the classroom in Roling Hall, a classroom Holy Trinity shares with Holy Family Parish in Fort Madison. This will allow the program to be housed with the other Early Childhood classes.

The St. Paul Early Childhood Center, which offers preschool, and the Fort Madison center applied for an Iowa Quality Rating System Level 4 in summer 2009. Both sites were awarded a Level 4 rating out of a possible 5.

This Quality Level 4 rating is an indicator to parents and the community that Holy Trinity Early Childhood Centers are committed to providing quality child care and are working to improve the quality of care.
