Funeral services and a Mass of Christian Burial for Curtis James Temple, II, 27, and a resident of Centerville, will be Saturday, July 3, 2010 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, 417 Main St., Davenport.

The family will greet friends Friday from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, 614 Main St., Davenport. A prayer service will be offered at 6:30 p.m. to conclude the visitation. Burial will be in St. Ann’s Cemetery, Long Grove, Iowa.  The family will greet friends today (Wednesday, June 30th) from 5-8 p.m. at the Lange Funeral Home, 1900 South 18th St., Centerville, Iowa. Curtis passed away Friday, June 25, 2010 in Centerville from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Memorials may be made to the Curtis Temple Memorial Fund.

Curtis was born Sept. 9, 1982 in Davenport, the son of Chuck Allen Temple and Debbie Marie Martin. He graduated from Centerville High School in 2001 and Indian Hills Community College, Ottumwa in Machine Technology with Honors. He loved his job at Vermeer Corporation and had recently developed a cost saving part for the company. Curtis loved jujitsu and training, loved to ride ATVs and was passionate about N.A.

He is survived by, his mother, Debbie Martin, his girlfriend, Deara Hinton, grandparents Paul and Janice Temple, Jerry Britt, great-grandparents Bud and Arlene Rollston, sisters Elizabeth Temple, Jessica and Anna Martin, and his dog Skud.  And numerous loving aunts, uncles and extended family members.

Curtis was preceded in death by his dad Chuck Temple, grandmother Nancy Greenwood, his uncle Curtis Temple (his namesake), and cousin Colton Myrick Temple.
