The Davenport Diocese’s 2010 August Gathering, “Building with the Bible Blueprint,” will take place Friday, Aug. 6, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Patrick Church, Iowa City. Presenter Joe Paprocki will aim to guide Catholics to a sense of the structure and purpose of God’s Word. He will cover different genres of biblical writing, key figures in biblical history and the methods Catholics rely on to interpret Scripture.
Paprocki is the author of “The Bible Blueprint: A Catholic’s Guide to Understanding and Embracing God’s Word.”
Registration deadline is July 30. Cost is $15, which includes lunch, refreshments and workshop materials.
