Sandra R. “Sandy” Miller, 50, a resident of El Cajon, Calif. and a former resident of Davenport, died June 27, 2010 at Lakeview Hospice La Mesa, California surrounded by family and friends following a courageous and valiant battle with cancer. Following her wishes cremation rites were accorded. 

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 4105 N. Division Street, Davenport. 

Sandra Ruth Miller was born Oct. 7, 1959 in Omaha, Nebraska a daughter of John and Mary (Samberg) Miller. 

Sandy graduated from Central High School, Davenport, in 1977.

She had been employed at Oscar Mayer Food Corporation for many years. 

She was proud to have served our country and was a veteran of the U. S. Navy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial fund in Sandy’s name.

Survivors include her mother, Mary Samberg Kelley, Davenport, her father, John (Jeannette) Miller, Grand Bay, Ala., her loving partner, William Nussberger, El Cajon, Calif., sisters, Jeri (Lloyd) Parks, Bettendorf, Ginger Golding, Missoula, Mont., Rebecca (Matt) Fish, Gilbert, Ariz., brothers, Paul (Deanna) Kelley and Patrick (Angela) Kelley, all of Davenport; her paternal grandmother, Madeline Miller, Davenport; a great niece Kori Ann in Montana as well as numerous loving nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her loving stepfather, John T. Kelley, grandparents, William and Grace Samberg, and numerous aunts and uncles.
