‘Understanding Grief’ program slated

BETTENDORF – St. John Vianney Parish is offering an Understanding Grief Educational Program. The program starts with five sessions of grief education and then continues with an optional opportunity to attend a grief support group. The program is designed to help people who have lost a loved one find reassurance and encouragement with others traveling a similar journey.

Participants will meet on Tuesdays in the Vianney Room from 1-2:30 pm. Dates and topics are: Oct. 5, understanding grief, Oct. 12, feelings and grief experiences, Oct. 19, coping and support, Oct. 26, healing and hope, Nov. 9, facing the holidays after the loss of a loved one.
