Clinton students to present ‘Diary of Anne Frank’

CLINTON — The Prince of Peace Players will present “The Diary of Anne Frank” Nov. 18, 19 and 20 at Prince of Peace Schools, 312 South Fourth Street. The play is a stage adaption of the book “The Diary of a Young Girl.”

“The Diary of Anne Frank” originally opened on Broadway in 1955. The play tells the classic story of Anne Frank and her family, who hid from the Nazis for over two years during World War II in occupied Amsterdam. The play received the Pulitzer Prize for drama for playwrights Frances Goodrich and Albert Hackett.

The play is directed by Tom Jankowski and stage manager is Kyle Kilburg.

The show stars Sidney Schreiber as Anne Frank, Keaton Fuller as Otto Frank, Paige Whitney as Edith Frank, Noah Strausser as Mr. Van Daan, Ellen VanderBleek as Mrs. Van Daan, Anna Black as Margot Frank, Aidan Marlow as Peter Van Daan, Nathan VanderBleek as Albert Dussel, Katie Anglese as Meip Gies and Clarissa Marten as Mrs. Krailer.

The Nov. 18 performance will start with appetizers and silent auction at 6 p.m. followed by the play at 7 p.m. Reservations for this performance can be made by calling the school office at (563) 242-1663. Cost is $10 per person.

The Nov. 19-20 performances will start at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children younger than 18. No reservations are needed for these performances.
