Project on saints helps third-graders understand God’s call

Students pose outside Lourdes while dressed as various saints.

On Nov. 12, the third-grade class put on a very special production. The children each chose a saint to research.

Some students chose based on the saint’s name; some chose based on what they have in common with that saint, and some chose based on who the students would like to learn more about.

The children researched when the saint’s feast day is, what he or she is a patron saint of, and what the person did to become a saint. Students enjoyed finding the answers and realized the saints were people just like us who chose to answer God’s call.
