The following daylong retreats will be offered this month at Benet House Retreat Center, 2200 88th Ave. West, Rock Island, Ill.
• “An Unfinished Journey: Exploring Issues of Forgiveness.” Explore the process of forgiveness and reconciliation, essential building blocks for strengthening our relationships with God and one another. Presenter is Mara Adams, associate professor of theology, St. Ambrose University, Davenport. The event is slated for Saturday, Jan. 22, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fee is $30, which includes lunch and free child care.
• “Praying with Benedict and Francis.” Explore the core elements in the spirituality of each of these spiritual giants, and consider their unique gifts for us. Presenter is Sister Sandra Brunenn, OSB. The retreat will take place Thursday, Jan. 27, from 9 a.m. to 3 pm. Fee is $30, which includes lunch.
