Phyllis M. Anderson, 92, a resident of Davenport died Wednesday, Feb. 9, 2011, at the Kahl Home, Davenport. 

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial for Mrs. Anderson will be 11:15 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Kahl Home Chapel.  Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park.  Visitation will be Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Halligan – McCabe – DeVries Funeral Home.  There will be additional visitation Saturday at the Kahl Home from 10:45 a.m. until the time of service.

Phyllis M. Martens was born December 21, 1918 in Davenport a daughter of Frank T. and Theresa M. (Otten) Martens.  She was united in marriage to Robert P. Anderson on August 3, 1939 in Davenport at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.  They have been blessed to have celebrated over 71 years of marriage.

Phyllis had retired in 1980 from Scott County Credit Bureau where she had worked following raising the kids.  In earlier years she had worked at the former Gordon Van Tine Company; and it was there that she met her future husband, Bob.

She had been a former member of Holy Family Catholic Church.  She and Bob had both been very active at CASI and had volunteered many hours over the years.

Memorials can be made to the Kahl Home Building Fund.

Survivors include her husband, Bob, a daughter and son-in-law, Kris and Daryl Heuer, and a son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Connie Anderson, all of Davenport; grandchildren, Michele Heuer and Andy Heuer, and Jeff (Nan) Anderson and Matt (Elise) Anderson; great- grandchildren, Madison, Drew, Emma, Robbie, and Luke.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Beth Martens.
