Father Marty Goetz shares his thoughts on vocations.

On March 2 Father Marty Goetz, vocations director for the Davenport Diocese, came to Saints Mary and Mathias to speak to pre-kindergarten through fifth-grade students about vocations.

He celebrated an all-school Mass in the school gym and then visited the classrooms where he discussed the different kinds of vocations and encouraged each student to listen for his or her calling.

The students enjoyed listening to Fr. Goetz and asking him questions. The priest has a unique gift of being able to relate to students of any age, the school believes.
