WHEATLAND – Contemplative Outreach for the Eastern Iowa Area is offering a Centering Prayer Spring Retreat April 15-16 at Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat Center in Wheatland.
Those interested may participate from 7-9 p.m. April 15 and/or 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 16.
The retreat is for those who have previously attended an “Introduction to Centering Prayer Workshop” or have been centering for some time. The retreat is a time to renew one’s discipline and practice of Centering Prayer in an atmosphere of silence and community.
The Friday evening session will include Centering Prayer, a video and discussion. Saturday’s session will include Centering Prayer, Lectio Divina, lunch, video with discussion, and time for solitude. A massage will be available Friday evening and Saturday for $15 for 15 minutes. (Pay at the time).
Arrival time Friday night is 6:45-7:25 p.m., with snacks and drinks available. Saturday arrival time is 9-9:25 a.m. with coffee, tea and muffins available.
The cost is $30 for the Friday overnight, and $20 for Saturday or $50 for both days.
