DAVENPORT — The following May events will take place at Eagles’ Wings Retreat Center, 5816 Telegraph Road, (563) 324-7263:
• Tuesday, May 3, 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.: “Just Listen!” This training course is designed to offer practical ways to develop what good listening is about: attitude and skill. Participants will use DVDs and practice sessions on topics including tuning in, kinds of listeners, developing a listening attitude, identifying obstacles and doorways to good listening. Registration is $35. Bring a sack lunch.

• Friday, May 13, 7 p.m.: Soaking With a Purpose (SWAP) meeting
• Thursday, May 19, 11:30 a.m.: Lesson with Lunch
