Mercy Hospice offers grief support group

CLINTON — A new support group, sponsored by Mercy Hospice, is being offered to provide information and support to individuals who are coping with the loss of a loved one. “Walking through Grief” is the name of support group that will meet from 3:30-5 p.m. April 26 and May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31 at Mercy Medical Center — South Campus, boardroom.

The sessions will discuss a variety of topics including understanding grief, accepting and expressing feelings, role changes, stress and coping, anniversaries, memories and support systems.

“For someone who has lost a loved one, life can be very difficult,” said Sharon Meister, director of Mercy Home Care & Hospice. “It is our hope that we can provide comfort and healing to individuals who are grieving and help them to understand why they feel the way they do and help them to find joy in life.”
