Thank you for the coverage on the Chrism Mass (The Catholic Messenger, April 14).
It is an annual highlight — the blessing of the holy elements, the Mass itself, the music, readings. But there is something else — the presence of so many priests. Each priest in Sacred Heart Cathedral had no doubt ministered to someone present — and no doubt, to many.
We cannot forget how they have blest and enriched our lives by their priestly vocation. Seeing them, even for a glance, should remind us to say a prayer of thanks for their “yes” to God.
