DAVENPORT — The Diocese of Davenport’s 2011 June Institute, “Preparing the Way,” will offer guidance and resources to help faith formation leaders introduce the new Roman missal.

The workshop is slated for Friday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at St. Vincent Center in Davenport. Deacon Frank Agnoli, diocesan director of liturgy and deacon formation, will present this program with Tammy Norcross, director of faith formation at Sacred Heart Parish in Newton.

Participants will explore the background of the liturgy, discover ways to engage in the liturgy through the new texts, and focus on opportunities to help children better understand and actively participate in the Mass.

Registration deadline is June 13. Cost is $10. Send your name, daytime phone number, email, parish or school and parish or school town with a check payable to Diocese of Davenport to Diocese of Davenport, attn. Barbara Butterworth, 780 W. Central Park Ave., Davenport, IA 52804-1998.
