New director named for Villa Maria childcare

DAVENPORT — Jessica Billings has been named the new director of Villa Maria Childcare Center, effective May 16. The center is located in the former convent at Assumption High School in Davenport.

Billings began her career at Skip-A-Long Development Services in 2002. She later served as the director of Wee Care Day Care from 2005-07 at which time she decided to stay home with her newborn son. Billings has been at KinderCare in Rock Island for the past three years, where she most recently served as the lead “twos” teacher. 

Assumption President Andy Craig said, “Jessica has an easy communication style, a fondness for curriculum and, obviously, a great love of children. We feel fortunate to have her assuming the leadershipof our daycare center.”

The center serves infants, toddlers and preschoolers on a year-round basis.

Billings and her husband, David, and their son live in Moline, Ill.
