Retreats slated in Wheatland

WHEATLAND – A weekend of “Kitchen Table Spirituality” will take place June 17-19 at Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat.

God is revealed in the ordinary. Nothing is more ordinary than the kitchen table, retreat organizers say. But it is rich in meanings: guests are welcomed, people share with one another, and food and conversations invite forgiveness and love.

How can people, in their homes and churches, create tables of hospitality and renewal? What can people learn about the Gospel tradition and commitment to a table of love?

Bring your Bible and journal. The target audience is women of all ages, limit eight participants. The fee is $200.

Sister Alice Ann Byrne, OP, a Sinsinawa Dominican educator and parish minister, will lead the weekend. For 20 years she gave retreats and spiritual direction in Montana and Washington.
