Davenport — A Mass of Thanksgiving to celebrate the 25th jubilee of Father Chuck Adam will be held at 3 p.m. June 26 in Christ the King Chapel on the St. Ambrose University campus. A picnic reception will follow.

Iowa City — Sister Theresa Kruml, OSU, is celebrating her 60th jubilee with Mass and renewal of vows at the 8 a.m. Mass July 10 at St. Wenceslaus Church. A reception will follow in the church hall. Everyone is welcome. To send Sr. Kruml a note, send it through the St. Wen­ceslaus Parish office, 623 Fairchild St. Iowa City, IA 52245.

LeClaire — Father Joe Wolf will bless motorcycles and bicycles prior to the 5 p.m. Mass Saturday, June 25, and the 8:30 a.m. Mass Sunday, June 26, at Our Lady of the River Church. Refreshments will be served following both Masses.

Muscatine — Ss. Mary & Mathias Parish will celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi with a bilingual Mass on Sunday, June 26, at noon at St. Mathias Church. Immediately after Mass, Catholics will take part in a procession for several blocks and return to St. Mathias. Worship will follow, and the celebration will end with fellowship, food and drinks in Gannon Hall.

Sugar Creek — Ss. Mary & Joseph Parish will hold Sugar Creek’s 156th annual Corpus Christi Mass and procession Saturday, June 25, at 4:30 p.m. Mass will be followed by the procession to four outdoor chapels at 3218 110th St., Preston. Flower girls and carriers of streamers and banners will participate. Lunch will be served afterward in the parish hall.

Davenport — A Soaking With A Purpose (SWAP) prayer meeting will take place Friday, June 24, 7 p.m., at Eagles’ Wings Counseling & Retreat Centers, 5816 Telegraph Road.

SOCIALS

Grinnell — St. Mary Parish’s picnic will take place Saturday, June 25, after 4 p.m. Mass. Bratwursts, hot dogs, table service and drinks will be provided. Bring a covered side dish to share. The evening will include music and kids’ games.

Iowa City — On Sunday, June 26, St. Patrick Parish will hold a ceremony recognizing the new church building’s achievement of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold rating. The ceremony will occur during the 10 a.m. Mass at 4330 St. Patrick Drive with a reception following in the social hall.  

Muscatine — A taco dinner will take place Saturday, June 25, from 4-7 p.m. in Gannon Hall. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children 10 and younger. Proceeds will help youths attend the National Catholic Youth Conference in November.

Welton — St. Anne Parish’s dinner of beef, chicken and ham will be Sunday, June 26, at Buzzy’s from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be a salad bar, desserts and raffle. Cost is $9 for adults, $4.50 for children ages 5-12 and free for children younger than 5.

WORKSHOPS

Davenport — The workshop “Christian Listening” will take place Saturday, June 25, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Eagles’ Wings Counseling & Retreat Centers, 5816 Telegraph Road.  Registration is $55.  Bring a sack lunch. For more information, call (563) 324-7263.
