You are invited to a sneak preview of the upcoming 10-part series, “Catholicism,” on Thursday, Aug. 25 at St. Alphonsus Church, 2618 Boies Ave., Davenport.
Separate previews will be shown that day from 1 – 2:30 p.m. and 7 – 8:30 p.m. Admission is free and registration is not required for the preview.
“Catholicism” is a groundbreaking documentary illustrating the story of the global Church, taking viewers on a journey across the planet to see the Catholic Church’s global influence on humanity and much more. The series was written and hosted by author, speaker, theologian and founder of Word on Fire Catholic Ministries, Father Robert Barron.
The series begins Thursday, Sept. 1, and will continue every Thursday – except Oct. 6 – through Nov. 10. Two sessions will be offered – one at 1 p.m., and another at 7 p.m. Episodes are one hour long; those wishing to stay for a short discussion afterward are welcome to do so.
Participation in the 10-week study is free, and program materials will be available to purchase for those wishing to enhance their study experience.
