WHEATLAND — “Creating Ritual in Our Lives” will take place Friday, Aug. 19, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at Our Lady of the Prairie Retreat.
Participants will explore what constitutes ritual and its role and meaning in their lives. Attendees will identify the characteristics of ritual and develop and shape original experiences of ritual to meet specific needs.
Target audience is people who are or want to be involved in creating ritual in their family, community or church.
Fee is $15, which includes lunch.
Presenters are Gale Francione of Davenport and Lucia Dryanski of rural Donahue. Dryanski is a nurse and musician who creates ritual in various faith traditions. Francione is a liturgical design consultant with a background in art history and pastoral studies.
