St. Paul the Apostle to hold mission

DAVENPORT — “Life’s Journey — The Fruits of the Holy Spirit: A Spiritual Inventory,” parish mission will be held Aug. 20-24 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish.

Father Tom Allender, SJ, will present the parish mission by speaking at all Masses Aug. 20 and 21 and then giving presentations in the morning and evenings of Aug. 22-24.

His Aug. 22 talk is titled “Love within that brings us true joy and inner peace.” The Aug. 23 talk is “Fruits developed within the attitude of patience, generosity and kindness.” The final talk, Aug. 24, is titled “We live lives of faithfulness in our families, in our parish and in our work.”

The Aug. 22-24 morning sessions begin with socials at 9 a.m. in Denning Hall followed by a talk at 9:20 a.m. in the church. Evening sessions begin with a talk at 7 p.m. in the church and social to follow at 8 p.m. in Denning Hall.
