Discuss health care act at upcoming meeting

“Life experiences an essential part of planning in implemening the Affordable Health Care Act.”

Fact, fiction and misinformation all have been part of the dialogue about the Affordable Health Care Act. Already people are finding there are many services available to assist them which were previously unavailable to them. Nothing is perfect.

In order to set up the best system, each state needs to hear from its citizens about what they have experienced in the past and how best to deal with their problems. Some examples are difficulty in gaining access to coverage, changing insurance policies, dealing with the complicated application processes, small business owners who are unable to provide coverage for employees and, last but not least, where and how to gain information on the aspects of the law that are available to them.

Both Illinois and Iowa are setting up the structure now to implement the law. The campaign for Better Health Care and the Health Care Forum from PACG (Progressive Action for the Common Good) are holding a session to discuss how these issues have the potential to be remedied with the new health insurance marketplace created by the Affordable Health Care Act.
