Ingeborg “Ing” Lannan, 94, a resident of Davenport passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 at the Kahl Home in Davenport. 

Funeral services and Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, September 9, 2011 at 11:15 a.m. in the Kahl Home Chapel.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the Kahl Home.  Burial will be at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Davenport.  The Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ingeborg Erna Alice Weder was born in Berlin, Germany on September 22, 1916 the daughter of Bruno and Rosa (Hentze) Weder.  Ing immigrated from Berlin, Germany to Davenport in 1921.  Ing was united in marriage to Paul James Lannan on April 13, 1940 at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Davenport.  He preceded her in death May 7, 2010.

Ingeborg worked at the Union Automobile Association, the Credit Bureau of Scott County and for several prominent Scott County attorneys prior to her retirement.  For many years, Ingeborg was a member of the Catholic Women’s League, St. Catherine Circle and St. Paul’s Altar and Rosary Society.  Ing and Paul were members of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church since 1952.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Kahl Home, Davenport.

She is survived by a son, Michael (Linda) Lannan, Bettendorf;  her daughters, Diane Lannan, Davenport and Deborah (Dr. Douglas) Leon, Maquoketa, IA;  grandchildren, Lisa (Peter) Manesis, Dr. B.J. (Dawn) Leon, Phillip (April) Leon, Stephanie Leon, Michael, Eric and Samantha Leon; and Katie (Rob) Knowles; 5 great grandchildren, and a brother-in-law Richard (Ann) Lannan.

In addition to her husband and parents, Ingeborg was preceded in death by her sister Hertha Chambers Cruikshank.

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Kahl Home for their heartfelt care of Ing.
