‘Understanding Grief’ program to be held

BETTENDORF – An “Understanding Grief Educational Program” will be offered at St. John Vianney Church. The program starts with five sessions of grief education and then continues with an optional opportunity to attend a grief support group. The program is designed to offer reassurance and encouragement for people who have lost a loved one.

Participants will meet on Tuesdays in the Vianney Room (northwest entrance) from 1-2:30 p.m. Schedule of topics is: Oct. 4, “Understanding Grief;” Oct. 11, “Feelings and Grief Experiences;” Oct. 18, “Coping and Support;” Oct. 25, “Healing and Hope;” Nov. 1, “Facing the Holidays after the Loss of a Loved One.”
