Concert to take students to ‘Spookeyville’

Four years ago, the St. Joseph seventh- and eighth-grade band began having a Halloween concert before the class parties.

Students are decked out in their Halloween costumes as they file in for the concert. Band members are dressed in their own “scary” attire. This is the only time that all students see the costumes of  all the classes.  Many parents and grandparents attend as well. It is a very festive atmosphere!

In the past the band has played “Star Wars,” “Snake Bite,”  “Top Secret,” “In the Hall of the Mountain King,” “Dark Fortress,” “Pirates of the Caribbean,” and “Smoke on the Water.” This year the Oct. 31 concert will highlight a new composition called “Spookeyville.”
