Albany, Ill. – A healing Mass will be celebrated at St. Patrick Parish Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. The sacrament of reconciliation will be available beforehand.

Davenport – A healing Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Cathedral Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. The sacrament of reconciliation will be available beforehand.

Hills – A healing Mass with Msgr. Marvin Mottet, Father Troy Richmond and Father William Kneemiller will be celebrated Friday, Oct. 14, at St. Joseph Parish.  Confessions start at 6:30 p.m., and Mass begins at 7 p.m. All are welcome.

Houghton – A public square rosary crusade will be held Oct. 15 at noon at St. John’s.  Local organizer Marilyn Walljasper, quoting literature from a national rosary campaign, said the United States is in great need of public prayer, repentance and conversion. Iowa City — Centering Prayer groups meet from 7-8 p.m. Mondays at the Mercy Hospital chapel, and from 9-11:30 a.m. the fourth Saturday of each month at a member’s home. For more information, call Maureen Kelley at (319) 338-8284.

Melrose — The Knights of Columbus of Albia sponsor a 24-hour adoration the first Friday of the month at St. Patrick Church in Melrose. Bettendorf – A centering prayer support group meets at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 6:30-7:30 p.m. For more information, call Judy at (563) 355-0611.

Davenport – Soak­ing with a Purpose prayer meetings will take place Oct. 14 and 28 at 7 p.m. at Eagles’ Wings, 5816 Telegraph Road. Participants will be led in praise and worship music.

Moline, Ill. – The Secular Discalced Carmelite Community of St. Joseph and the Prophet Elijah invites people to join in the study of prayer in the tradition of St. Teresa of Avila and St. John of the Cross. Bettendorf — The University of Notre Dame Glee Club will perform Oct. 16 at 7 p.m. at St. John Vianney Church. Suggested donation is $10 for adults, $5 for students and $20 for families.

Davenport – Theology on Tap for young adults will meet Oct. 13 at 7 p.m. in the upper level of Phil & Larry’s Saloon. Sister Bobbi Bussan will speak on homelessness in the Quad Cities.

Davenport — Cinder­ella’s Cellar has received a donation of designer clothing and accessories. Clothing is available at 230 W. 35th St. Hours are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Proceeds benefit The Kahl Home for the Aged and Infirm.

Fort Madison — Holy Trinity Catholic Schools’ God’s Portion Day will take place Oct. 22-23 at the junior/senior high school. Events begin Oct. 22 with dinner at 5 p.m., followed by auctions. On Oct. 23, breakfast will be served from 8-10 a.m. The day will include a baked goods room, country store, knick-knack room, spirit booth, auctions, lunch and dinner, student presentations, a kids’ zone and raffle.

Fort Madison – On Oct. 19, Catholic singer and songwriter Lynn Cooper will give a musical witness at McAleer Hall in Fort Madison. Iowa City – The St. Patrick Parish Needle-workers’ bazaar will take place Saturday, Oct. 29, from 3-6 p.m. and Sunday, Oct. 30, from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The event will include a quilt raffle, bake sale and more.

Melcher – Sacred Heart Parish will hold its fall dinner Sunday, Oct. 30, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tickets cost $8 for adults, $5 for children ages 5-10 and free for children 4 and younger.

Richmond – Holy Trinity Parish’s pork loin and beef dinner will take place Oct. 30 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $9 for adults and $3 for children ages 5-10. The day will include a country store, raffle and silent auction. 

Riverside – St. Mary Parish will hold an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Sunday, Oct. 16, from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the parish center. Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children and free for children younger than 5. Proceeds benefit religious education. A Schwan’s truck will be present to take pre-orders or sell items.

Rock Island, Ill. – To celebrate 10 years in the Quad Cities, the Benedictine Sisters of St. Mary Monastery will host an open house Sunday, Oct. 30, from 2-4 p.m. at 2200 88th Ave. W. Attendees will be able to meet the Sisters, tour the monastery and retreat house, and enjoy refreshments. Toronto – St. James Parish will hold a soup and sandwich supper Sunday, Oct. 23, from 4-7 p.m. at the Toronto Fire Station. Cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children ages 12 and younger and free for preschoolers. Four kinds of soup and five kinds of sandwiches will be served.

Toronto – St. James  Parish is holding a community breakfast at the Toronto Fire Station from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. the third Sunday of each month through April. The next date is Oct. 16. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children 12 and younger and free for preschoolers.
