DAVENPORT — Oct. 9-15 was National Fire Prevention Week, and All Saints Catholic School’s third, fourth and fifth grades participated in a poster contest around the theme “Protect your family from fire!”

Posters have been on display at All Saints to share the message with students and visitors.

Pre-kindergarten through third graders also got to experience and interact with several Davenport fire fighters and the fire engine when they visited during school.

Poster contest winners for first place were Emmanuel Villafana, fifth grade; John Phan, fourth-grade; Alex Aldane, third grade. Second place went to GG Sierra, fifth grade; Grant Simpson, fourth grade and Katie Anderson, third grade. Third place winners were Zach Roemer, fifth grade; Aiden Heidgerken, fourth grade; and Emma Frese, third grade.
