DAVENPORT – All are welcome to attend the third holiday movie and gift swap presented by the Congregation of the Humility of Mary on Dec. 6 from 6–8:30 p.m. at the Humility of Mary Center, 820 West Central Park Ave. Cost is free.
To reduce, reuse and recycle, everyone is invited to bring new or gently used items that are perfect for regifting. Leftover items will be donated to Humility of Mary housing and shelter programs.
Doors open at 6 p.m. Before the film, visit with Sisters, hand over your gift swap items and window shop. Also, enjoy cookies baked by Sisters and associates.
The movie “The Story of Broke” starts at 6:45 p.m. It challenges the idea that America is broke and claims our government spends billions of dollars to prop up obsolete and destructive industries — a “dinosaur economy.”
New this year are cartoons with a message. They are for the whole family.
